Change Windows Language while offline

An annoying thing about Windows is that now requires you to be online to do a lot of things that shouldn’t require you to be online on the first place. This may be useful to some users, but to others is just plain annoying. One of the things that bothered me was the language changing, specially when you have a slow connection. Luckily I already found a way to solve it a long time ago, and pretty easy, actually.

Open the run prompt (Windows Key + R) and type:

lpksetup.exe

And hit enter. A window should popup, click on Install display languages.

Click on Install Display Languages.

In the next window, hit on browse.

Click on browse.

Proceed to browse for your language pack.

Select the language pack.

Select the language pack. If the pack is compatible with your Windows version, you should have no problem. However, if it’s not, you should see an error, like the one on the image below.

Proceed to install the language pack.

Errors occur when the version of the OS and the version of the language pack are not the same. If you use W7 x64, you need the lang-pack W7 x64. If you use W8.1 x64, a normal W8 lang-pack won’t work.
